The Settlement of Contradictory Hadith on Mahram Status for Man due to Al-Radhāah

This study examined the hadith regarding determination of mahram status for adult men due to breastfeeding (al-radhāah). It was needed be conducted because hadiths are contradictory one another. Using mukhtalif al-hadith science method, this tried find right and correct understanding, avoiding visible outward contradictions, with two forms settlement, namely non-compromising compromise. The majority scholars prioritize a compromise settlement first, then one. "maqbul-ma'mulbih" "maqbul-ghayru ma'mulbih" is consequence application through nasakh or tarjih method approach. findings show that on al-radhāah can resolved by (al-jam'u) using takhshis al-'am.
